Moving With Grief — A Somatic Class for the Holiday Season
Fri, Dec 12
|Austin
As the year closes and holidays stir up old memories, many of us feel the tender weight of what and who is no longer here. This class is an invitation to explore the biomechanics of how grief shows up in our tissues, use somatic movement to create space, and work with sound to help the body release

Moving With Grief — What to Expect in Class
The holidays can bring up a lot—memories, emotions, old stories—and grief often shows up in the body before it shows up anywhere else. This class is designed to help you move with that experience in a supportive, practical way.
Here’s what you can expect:
A short, simple breakdown of how grief shows up biomechanically — where the body typically holds tension, how breathing patterns shift, and what that means for your nervous system.
Gentle somatic movement and mobility work to soften the chest, diaphragm, hips, and jaw—common grief-holding areas—so your body has more room to process.
Guided sound work using humming, toning, or vibration to help regulate the vagus nerve and release emotional pressure.
